History:

At the time Base 15 was constructed in 1972, this was a state-of-the-art plant for Cedarapids Manufacturing, a local company. The plant was the largest and only batch plant of this size built by Cedarapids Manufacturing.  Today, Base 15 is capable of storing over 100 ton of hot aggregate in its hot bins.  It also has two 200 ton silos for HMA storage. Base 15 is also a green plant, capable of recycling asphalt millings (RAP) and has storage for four separate types of asphalt cement.
