That’s because our employees are some of the best in the industry. Nicknamed Team Pelling they’re hard-working, good, down-to-earth people who live around Eastern Iowa. From millennials to baby boomers, our group is as diverse in age as they are in life experiences.
One value that all our employees have in common is loyalty. On average, employees stay with us for 12 years! (yeah, we’ve crunched the numbers). So why do they stay? Great benefits. Family culture. Good wages. Safe environment. Steady Work. Company reputation. Quality work. Reliable pay. Great overtime.
We demand a lot from our employees and we offer a lot in return. If you’re looking for a solid career with a top-notch company, then get on board! Find a position below and then apply. We welcome individuality and encourage women, veterans, and minorities to apply. Diversity is the spice of life!
As a progressive company we invest in our people by offering training opportunities. We train both prospective and current employees who have a desire to learn. We offer on-the-job training to both and off-site workshops and seminars to current employees.
Listed below are the job classifications for which training will be provided:
To be considered for our training program an employee must be in good standing and/or have supervisory approval. Requests for more information, job classifications, and/or training program outlines should be directed to the Human Resources Director, PO Box 230, North Liberty, IA 52317 or by calling 319-626-4600.
Once I’ve submitted my application, when will I be contacted? Immediately to several weeks. If you weren’t hired initially, we’ll keep your application in our pool of candidates. Should another position become available we may contact you to see if you’re interested. This means you may be called several months after applying. At the end of the year your application will be destroyed.
Are all applicants interviewed? No. Supervisors review applicants and interview those who best match the requirements of the position.
Can I call or email someone to check the status of my application? We strongly discourage applicants from doing this. Our hiring managers work at several locations and may review your application at any time. Because of this, there is no way for our North Liberty office staff to know the status of your application.
How long will my application remain active? Applications are kept active and may be considered for open positions up to the end of the season (year) in which you applied. You may be contacted several months after applying. Please notify us if you accept other employment so we may remove you from our pool of candidates.
What’s the starting pay for the position which I applied? That depends on many factors, including your: experience, license class, endorsements, driving record, etc. If you’re contacted by a supervisor for an interview, (s)he will discuss pay with you at that time.
