As a full-service contractor, with a large fleet of equipment, LL Pelling has the ability to complete projects literally from the ground up. From site grading to concrete curb and gutter, asphalt paving, and parking lot line striping, we can handle the most complex projects from start to finish. We service DOT, county, and municipalities, as well as industrial and commercial clients. We also sell asphalt at our three plants located in Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, and Marion.

We proudly service a market within a 50-mile radius from our asphalt plants including the cities of Riverside, Williamsburg, Cascade, Wyoming, and Clarence. Our seal coat division travels further. Examples of counties we serve: Linn, Johnson, Benton, Iowa, Washington, Jones, Cedar, Louisa, and Keokuk.

FAQ’s
Do you pave residential driveways?
Yes, but the private (residential) driveway must be large enough to accommodate our paving equipment. Logistically, we can’t pave a typical size driveway you’d see in a city. The larger the driveway, the more competitive we can be on the price we quote, too.
Do you offer parking lot cleaning/sweeping services?
Yes. As part of our pavement marking division we provide cost efficient and detailed lot sweeping services. Our professional vacuum sweeper is specifically suited for lots with dirt, sand, millings, leaves, and road debris.
Do you sell tack oil?
Yes. We sell MC-3000, MC 30, MC 70, and CSS-1H Emulsion at our North Liberty oil plant. The oil plant is located behind our main office at 1425 W. Penn St. North Liberty.
Do you sell cold patch?
Yes. We sell our own cold patch by the ton at all three of our asphalt plants through the paving season. Year-round we sell it at our Marion asphalt plant. We also offer UPM High Performance cold patch in 50 pound bags that you can purchase by the bag or in bulk pallets.
How far will you travel for asphalt jobs?
Our standard answer is a 50-mile radius from each of our asphalt plants. Occasionally, we’ll travel further as long as we maintain quality controls and temperatures on our asphalt.
